Moon Facts:Why does the moon glow at night?

I’m pretty sure all of us have seen the moon at night, and the stars surrounding that big glowing circle. But have you ever wondered why it glows? Even more, how does it manage to glow just at night for us to see? Well the answer is that, the moon glows or shines because it’s reflecting light from the sun.

According to Live Science, when the moon orbits around the Earth, only half of it’s surface faces the fun resulting into only of of it lighting up and the other half is dark. The moon only reflects about 8% of that sunlight.

Below is the Phases of the moon, and as you can see how the moon is reflecting that sunlight is it getting and causing the moon to take different forms that are visible to the human eye.
