Moon Facts:Why does the moon glow at night?

I’m pretty sure all of us have seen the moon at night, and the stars surrounding that big glowing circle. But have you ever wondered why it glows? Even more, how does it manage to glow just at night for us to see? Well the answer is that, the moon glows or shines because it’s reflecting light from the sun.

According to Live Science, when the moon orbits around the Earth, only half of it’s surface faces the fun resulting into only of of it lighting up and the other half is dark. The moon only reflects about 8% of that sunlight.

Below is the Phases of the moon, and as you can see how the moon is reflecting that sunlight is it getting and causing the moon to take different forms that are visible to the human eye.

Ever wondered what’s it’s like to eat in Space?

Space Food

If you don’t like airline food, you’ll probably have the same impression of space station food. I would not fly to space for the food.

Have you every wondered how it’s like to eat in space? Moreover, what type of foods you would eat in space? If so you came to the right spot. Surprising Astronauts eat pretty much similar to as eating on earth. According to How Stuff Works , due to being in an area of low gravity anything would literally float away from your hand if not held properly.

However, this isn’t much of a problem with astronauts because they eat foods and drink drinks that are packaged in dehydrated powders. All they have to do is add water. As stated earlier, astronauts eat similar as they would on earth, so that means three meals a day. According to How Stuff Works, they store their food in locker trays so the food wont fly away from them in a sense.

Within the shuttle they have a rehydration stations in which they hydrate the dehydrated foods an that station has both cold and hot water for those wondering. Every space shuttle has enough food for the astronauts up until their mission is complete. Another thing to take away is that when in space, the aromas of the foods that the astronauts eat, tend to not be there so it wouldn’t be much enjoyable to eat because without smell there really isn’t much taste.

So just like on earth, they have condiments such as salt, pepper, sugar and ketchup to give their meals a little flavor. However, the salt and pepper have to be converted to liquids so hey won’t fly away like anything else and that is because they are particles. Astronauts can eat anything in space, as long as it’s dehydrated. That’s a little about astronauts and how they eat in space.
